Friends founder, Mike Gillespie, reflects on the organization’s first five years!

Early this year (February 2021), the founder of our organization, Mr. Mike Gillespie, had the opportunity to address an audience at the historic and beautiful Castillo San Cristόbal, San Juan National Historic Site. The organization’s five-year anniversary happened to coincide with one of the park’s first open-air musical events of the year. Mike took the opportunity to reflect on some of the organization’s accomplishments and hopes for the coming year(s). Afterward, the audience was treated to a performance by the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico. The Orchestra played a range of classical music pieces, featuring especially the works of Barber, Haydn, and Mozart. Even though the weather had been dicey all day, the rain held out and a spectacular evening was enjoyed by all! Check out Mike’s address below:
