The Friends of San Juan National Historic Site team engages with the San Juan community every day! We make strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations in order to promote awareness of the site and raise money for conservation projects. We also connect on a personal level with individual visitors and experts that help us create new opportunities for our members and friends. The first-ever Zendo Stereo Music Mindfulness event held at El Morro in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, was a great success. Over 60 people attended the two-night and we were able to raise over $4,000 to benefit the Friends of San Juan National Historic Site.

The Friends of San Juan National Historic Site is seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Executive Director to lead our nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the historic and cultural heritage of the San Juan National Historic Site in Puerto Rico.
The National Park Foundation recently announced that the Friends of San Juan National Historic Site is one of 41 park partner organizations to receive a Strong Parks, Strong Communities Grant from the National Park Foundation. This grant will enable Friends of SJNHS to implement a series of educational events and programming for the community.
